I use to see someone smile or laugh, and think of how beautiful it would be in a picture frame. 20ish years later, I am a photographer by trade capturing the minute and momentous moments of life. session on advocacy in GI where they touched on how storytelling is still instrumental in bringing change and influencing policy making.

What a great way to start off this new month! I ran into old colleagues, spent time with my mentor and met so many mentees/new homies who will be taking the world of gastroenterology and hepatology by storm AND got more clarity on my next steps. 14 months to go😬

Women Crush Wednesday!! Y’all remember that?🤣

Anyways. I was an overstimulated, exhausted person this weekend galavanting, networking etc, left my phone in an uber (got it back praise Him) and the way my girl .jesckidding flowed with me 🥹 came to the .co month event, hit the sample sale, made sure I didn’t miss joined me at conference mixers and was just present? I am blessssed to have a friend like her.

I have made many friends in my late 20s/early 30s, and this one?! Kindred spirit. We met in Thailand 2023 and aint nothin been the same since. Jess my dear, if this is love bombing, then I am a bombastic love bomber because when God made you?! He was intentional. What a human He crafted, with a heart, mind, spirit, only the creator of the universe could breathe life into! You’re a brilliant doctor who cares for patients with your full self. If you sense injustice, you light up with this rage to stand in the gap and advocate for others. It is inspiring. God has such a beautiful purpose for you, just YOU. And I will be here as you walk fully in that. Blessed to be in your orbit where every layer of myself is accepted. Keep shining in every room sis…. and keep laughing at all my jokes.

Whenever I put her away, I need a period of readjustment and this period was shorter which means so much to baby Os inside. Just wait till I learn how to braid🤣😅

Every opportunity to share some of my testimony is a gift from God. No lie. Reflecting on the distance traveled to be a doctor today, all the twists and turns along the way. The timing of it all. God’s grace. Thank you for being the plug for so many and for the invite!!
