Kuala Lumpur is one of my favourite cities to visit in Southeast Asia. It's such an incredible blend of cultures, food, activities, sights, and all sorts of sensory experiences! Not many places have such a vibrant variety to them, and on top of that KL is also a very easy city to move around as a tourist these days. My favourite thing to do is to take the public transport somewhere I've heard something interesting about, and then just walk around for the rest of the day. I also went around a bit with one of those electric scooters, which works well in KL too.
It's such a cool place to just stroll around, seeing how life goes about in a metropolis such as Kuala Lumpur, seeing the buzz, the chilled vibes, everything. When you walk, you see so much more, and KL definitely makes that possible. I even took photos of some of the popular spots and sights without realising they were popular, and so even that felt more like a discovery than just going to an instagrammable spot for the sake of it.
If you plan to travel, and Southeast Asia is in your plans, definitely add Kuala Lumpur as a stop, at least for a few days. It's got everything, yet it's also rather affordable. Well worth a visit.
