What is a 3D Mesh Model?
A 3D Mesh Model is like a digital sculpture of a real-world object or area. Instead of being solid, it's made up of many tiny, flat shapes, usually triangles or squares, all connected together.
Think of it like folding a piece of paper many times to create a detailed shape. These tiny shapes form the "skin" of the 3D model, giving it its surface and appearance. They are often created from the massive amounts of data collected by drones (like point clouds), allowing for highly realistic and measurable digital representations of buildings, terrain, or infrastructure.
