Dear Clients, 2025 has been a deeply challenging year for me—mentally, emotionally, and creatively. I’ve had to navigate some personal storms, face hard truths, and make life-altering decisions that included stepping away from what was once familiar and also move away from the city for a while. These changes have taken a toll, and at times, it’s been difficult to keep up with communication and stay on top of my game.
Balancing a full-time job which also requires you to not be tired and focus 100%, being a present and loving mom, and running a photography business that started as a hobby but grew into a source of income has felt like climbing a mountain most days. The weight of it all can be incredibly draining, and yes—depression can creep in quietly when you're trying to hold everything together. No one knows! You just keep smiling!
That’s why it’s so important to mentally work through things. Healing isn’t linear, and sometimes you need to pause, reflect, and allow yourself space to feel, process, and rebuild. Pushing through without acknowledging your emotional state can lead to burnout, and I’ve learned that the hard way previously , that is why i prioritized this. Taking time to understand what I needed, what I had to let go of, and what I wanted to move toward has been a painful but necessary journey.
As a result, I only booked 4 to 5 photoshoots this year and took a much-needed break to reset. While it wasn’t easy to step back, it was necessary for me to heal and realign. The past few months have felt like a blur, but I’m slowly finding my rhythm again—and I’m truly grateful to those who supported me through it all especially my family and the people i can call
The photo below reminds me of a time when I jogged and exercised daily, lived a healthier lifestyle, and felt fully in my element behind the camera—something I’ve slowly found my way back to. It took me nearly seven months just to regain the want to do it again, but I’m committed to becoming better, one step at a time.
Looking ahead, I’m excited to share that 2026 will focus primarily on weddings, and I’ll be releasing the updated price list within the next two weeks. I’ll also be moving back—hopefully—to Windhoek by the end of the year, which will allow me to reconnect more consistently and be more available. (If you see any decent 2-bedroom rentals in Windhoek, please let me know—I’m still searching!)
If you’ve reached out via WhatsApp or email and haven’t heard back yet, please know I will respond in due time ... I appreciate your patience and understanding more than words can express.
Just wanted to share something on here—I’m still here, just haven’t been relatively active!
Thank you for walking this journey with me. Your support means everything!!!
