INSPIRATION FOR TODAY

(The Liberty Mandate)

Theme: Maximizing Your Potential

Scripture:
"And whatsoever thy hand findeth to do, do it with thy might..."
— Ecclesiastes 9:10 (KJV)

Reflection:
God has placed unique gifts, abilities, and opportunities within every believer. Too often, people compare themselves with others and overlook the potential God has already deposited in them. Your assignment is not to become someone else but to faithfully develop and use what God has entrusted to you.

Maximizing your potential requires continual learning, diligence, and obedience to God's direction. Every gift grows through faithful use. As you invest in your personal, spiritual, and professional development, God expands your capacity for greater influence and service. Don't settle for less than God's purpose for your life.

Prayer:
Father, help me to discover, develop, and fully use every gift You have placed within me. Let my life bring maximum glory to You and blessing to others. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Declaration:
I maximize my God-given potential. I grow daily and fulfill the purpose for which God created me.

JOY AS ABDUCTED OYO PUPILS, TEACHERS, AND PRINCIPAL REGAIN FREEDOM AFTER 56 DAYS IN CAPTIVITY

Ibadan, Oyo State | Friday, July 10, 2026

The pupils, teachers, and principal who were abducted during a deadly attack on schools in Oriire Local Government Area of Oyo State have regained their freedom after spending 56 days in captivity.

The victims were kidnapped on May 15, 2026, when armed assailants invaded three public schools, causing widespread panic and disrupting academic activities. Their release has been met with widespread celebration across Oyo State and Nigeria, bringing an end to weeks of anxiety for their families, colleagues, classmates, and concerned citizens.

According to security authorities, the victims were rescued through coordinated security operations involving multiple agencies. The operation reportedly led to the arrest of some suspects, while others were neutralized during an exchange of fire. The rescued victims have since been reunited with their families and are receiving medical evaluation and psychological support.

Reactions

The Oyo State Government expressed gratitude to the security agencies for their commitment and professionalism throughout the operation, while assuring residents that efforts to strengthen security across the state will continue.

Parents, community leaders, religious organizations, and civil society groups have also welcomed the development, describing it as a significant relief after nearly two months of uncertainty and emotional distress.

Global Media Statement

Reacting to the development, YORNCA Global Media stated:

✊ "We rejoice with the rescued pupils, teachers, principal, their families, and the people of Oyo State on their safe return. Their freedom is a moment of hope and thanksgiving for the entire nation."

✊ "We commend the courage and dedication of the security personnel whose coordinated efforts made this rescue possible. We equally acknowledge everyone who stood in prayers and solidarity throughout this difficult period."

✊ "However, this incident serves as a reminder that more must be done to secure our schools and communities. Educational institutions must remain safe environments where children can learn without fear and teachers can perform their duties without threats to their lives."

✊ "We urge the relevant authorities to ensure that all those responsible for this criminal act are brought to justice. We also call for comprehensive medical, psychological, and social support for the rescued victims as they recover from the trauma they experienced."

🙏 YORNCA Global Media extends heartfelt condolences to the family of the teacher who lost his life during the tragic incident and prays for the complete healing and restoration of all those affected.

✍ïļ As investigations continue, Nigerians remain hopeful that strengthened security measures will prevent similar incidents and restore confidence in the safety of schools across the country.

PRESS RELEASESpokesperson to Chief Sunday Adeyemo Igboho Responds to Petition and Recent Remarks

Reports have emerged about the withdrawal of U.S. soldiers from Nigeria, prompting many people to ask why this decision was made.

According to some commentators, the withdrawal may have followed operations in which terrorist groups, bandits, or armed criminal elements allegedly had their electronic devices and equipment seized by U.S. forces. They believe this may have reduced the need for a continued military presence.

However, this interpretation reflects personal opinion and has not been officially confirmed by either the U.S. or Nigerian governments. Listeners are encouraged to examine the available facts and official statements before drawing conclusions.

"Some months after I was sworn in as the governor of Lagos state, I went to see Alhaja (My mum), on getting there, I met some people praying for her while some are still waiting to see her, I asked her what was happening? She said "They are all here because they want me to help them pay the NECO fees of their children in SS3". I left her place saddened that evening.

The following day, I met with my cabinet members and after that, we made a pronouncement that the state government will be paying the NECO fees of all SS3 students in Lagos state public schools irrespective of their tribes and that stands till today.."
