Istanbul is the city of colors, of people, of stories. It was our first time visiting and we did not expect to love it as much as we did. It strangely reminded us of home, a sense of familiarity filled the streets and markets. The sound of the river and the smell of food in the distance truly is what makes this such a magical place.
We already look forward to coming back and to make more memories in such a beautiful and special place.

After one full year in Japan, we can look back at the original reasons as to why we had some of the places added to our bucket list and laugh. They all ended up being so much more, they each taught us a bit more about ourselves and the world and by the end of it, had so much more to it than just that “insta worthy photo” or that “cool museum from that reel”.

It might have been the reason we visited in the first place, but it far from the last reason as to why we wanted to stay just a bit longer and ultimately go back to see more.

It’s yet another reminder to expect the unexpected and explore as much as you can with an open heart and mind. We can’t wait to go back and find more reasons to reminisce about these memories and so many more, wherever the wind takes us.

We hope you can relate to these. We are Sara and Vasco, a couple who quit corporate life because we felt we were stuck in life and letting it just pass us by without really doing what made us happy. So we decided to travel, get out of comfort zone, learn new skills, fail and try again, and even though our community here is small, we truly feel like we are finally living. It is not without difficulties, crying and sometimes wondering if we made a huge mistake. But we have each other and hopefully now you too. We want to share memories, leave a mark and share what truly makes this world a place worth living for.
