THE WOMAN BEHIND THE WOMAN.

Some stories are not written in words.
They are passed down through eyes, hands, values, strength, and memory.

One generation stands behind another not to overshadow her, but to remind her of where she comes from and how far she can go.

This is more than a portrait.
It is heritage captured in a single frame.

What we inherit is powerful. What we preserve is priceless.

You subscribe to theirs; I have been subscribing to Adobe for decades now, and I have no regrets whatsoever.

Nothing beats Adobe in the creative industry.

THE BUSINESS OF CREATIVITY #005

Learn how to position yourself.

Being good at what you do is important.

But in a competitive creative industry, being good is not always enough.

You can be an incredible photographer and still struggle to attract the right clients.

You can be a brilliant videographer and still be perceived as “the person who just edits videos.”

You can have years of experience and still be competing primarily on price.

Why?

Because talent without positioning can become invisible.

Positioning is about answering a simple question:

“Why should someone choose you?”

Don’t just say:

“I’m a photographer.”

Tell people what you bring to the table.

What do you specialize in?
What problems do you solve?
Who do you create for?
What makes your approach different?
What do you want to be known for?

The goal isn’t to convince everyone that you’re the best.

It’s to make the right people understand your value.

Because when you position yourself properly, you stop chasing every opportunity.

The right opportunities start looking for you.

Learn the skill.
Build the experience.
Show the work.

But don’t forget to position the person behind it.

CREATIVE NOTE #004

IF YOU’RE KILLING IDEAS, YOU’RE KILLING INNOVATION.

One of the fastest ways to kill creativity in an organization is to make people afraid of being wrong.

A creative brings an idea.

It doesn’t work.

The response is:

“Who approved this?”
“Why would you even suggest that?”
“We don’t do things like this here.”

The next time that creative has an idea, they may keep it to themselves.

Then another idea comes.

They keep it to themselves.

Eventually, you don’t have a creativity problem.

You have a culture problem.

Creativity requires room to experiment.

Not every idea will be brilliant.

Some will fail.

Some will need to be refined.

Some will completely miss the mark.

And that’s okay.

Because sometimes a failed idea is simply the first step toward the idea that finally works.

Corporate organizations shouldn’t only ask their creatives to execute.

They should create an environment where creatives feel safe enough to think.

Because when people are constantly punished for getting ideas wrong, they eventually learn the safest strategy:

Say nothing.

And when your creatives stop bringing ideas to the table, your organization loses more than creativity.

It loses possibilities.

We live in a world where attention has become one of the most valuable currencies.

Every day, people scroll past hundreds of photographs, videos, adverts and stories.

So getting someone to stop is only the beginning.

The real question is:

What happens after they stop?

Does the content make them curious?

Does it make them feel something?

Does it teach them something?

Does it tell a story they can relate to?

Does it give them a reason to remember the brand?

As creatives, our job shouldn’t end at “make it look good.”

We have to think beyond the first impression.

Because a beautiful visual may win the first second.

But purpose, relevance and storytelling earn the next thirty.

That’s why I believe great content isn’t just designed to be seen.

It’s designed to be remembered.

Create for attention.

But build for connection.

Sometimes, the person standing in front of you is fighting a battle you know nothing about.

We see clothes.
We see circumstances.
We see where someone is standing.

But we rarely see the story behind it.

Be careful how you treat people. Today’s stranger could be tomorrow’s success story.
