Just took this photo a few minutes ago and thought I want to share it right away. When I understood it right, the name of this man in Mateos. I asked him if I can take a photo and he was really surprised why I want it. I told him because I think he is beautiful. He got a bit shy for a moment and gave me a bright smile later. That smile made me happy, simple as that.

Long story short: on that boat I got over exited taking photos of the captain and the crew, that I forgot to watch horizon. 😂

I asked so many people where I can find fishermen. Actually, I wanted to go with them fishing on the sea. I mean they fishing, me capturing the moment. Not my first attempt, not my last one. But as far as I could get this time is capturing them in the port. Maybe later I will tell you why.

Fisherman and the cats***
Kasos is a little Dodecanese island, somewhere between Karpathos and Kriti. When I arrived there I was already planing my escape, but just after a few hours I knew I am going to enjoy this little treasure. Very soon I figured out I am one of the five (more or less) travelers on Kasos. Guys were waving from the other side of the little beach, elderly saying “yassas” to me, offering a drink and asking me why Kasos. But what could I say? I guess I did not know it myself. It was on the way that I did not even plan to go, but it happened somehow. So I stayed for a little while. Following the sun every single evening, I answered “good bye” to all the ferries that were crashing the silence of the local calm sea. I felt a little sad every time ferries were living without me, but I felt even more sad when I was living.
*** almost forgot to say something about the photo. As you can see, cats are happy.
