7-year-old Madden Humphreys of Oklahoma was born with a bilateral cleft lip and palate and heterochromia (two different colored eyes).
He dealt with hurtful comments and bullying his whole life because of how he looked. Meanwhile, a rescue cat named Moon from Minnesota who also had a cleft lip and mismatched eyes was put up for adoption.
When Madden's family learned about Moon, they drove from Oklahoma to Minnesota and adopted him, immediately sparking an inseparable bond between them. Their story shows that being different isn't something to hide, but something to that makes you extraordinary!
