These are some of the many photos I took recently for lovely Barbara, owner of Oakura Bay Villa on the beautiful island of Waiheke off the coast of Auckland, New Zealand. Upon our arrival we quickly learned of an imminent cyclone so the weather was definitely not ideal! In amongst the rain, strong winds and darkness I managed to capture some of these pops of precious sunlight! A good thing we had 3 nights there as inclement weather is always an element to factor into a shoot. A beautiful part of the world if ever you get a chance to visit! This lovely villa has been Barbara’s family home for many years, then turned Airbnb and now for sale. 5 hectares in total. This is a gorgeous price of paradise for a lucky buyer.

I have been following the delightful Vicki (pictured here) from the for quite some time and have been a long time admirer of her gorgeous work and academy on the stunning Waiheke Island off the coast of Auckland. It was always going to be an impractical wish to ever be able to participate in her classes living so far away in Australia. So it was serendipitous indeed when a client wanted me to photograph her house and property on Waiheke Island and it just so happened that her and Vicki were close friends and their kids grew up together and went to the same schools! Barb had a quick chat to Vicki and before I knew it she had organised for me to swoop in one morning upon on one of her classes upon our arrival to the island and have a dreamy morning with her and her lovely students making a compote arrangement to bring back to Barb’s house to photograph (mine is the 5th picture). A dream come true. Thank you very much Vicki for hosting me and accomodating my son Louie as well in your gorgeous villa for the morning. For anyone thinking or dreaming of studying flowers under one of the best - Vicki is your guru! She now also has online course available X

Such a pleasure to photograph the interiors, gardens and surrounds at the beautiful Beulah House in Launceston!

Only really my second attempt at such an event but these bridal and flower girl bouquets were for an intimate wedding on the mountain here on an unusually hot 37 degree day! When I was making these in the early morning here on the day in the mist and the cool air, it was magical .. I hope the magic was sprinkled throughout the couple’s day.

Photographing in Stanley, Tasmania for was a wonderful exploration into a town rich in heritage and natural wonder. Poet’s Cottage sits at the base of The Nut, which is a phenomenal geological site where you can even take the chairlift up to the top and walk the perimeter of this extinct volcanic plug. Great coffee, food and local treasures, this is must visit for anyone with a Tassie adventure in mind!

Our hearts go out to all those affected by the at the moment and those working tirelessly and putting their lives on the lines to get on top of the situation and to ensure the safety of others. Some heartbreaking stories of people who have lost everything. Just devastating 🙏
