Happy Monday, everyone! Public announcement time :-).

I know that many of you LOVE my botanical works, and for that I am very, very grateful. I have enjoyed creating these pieces for a number of years now and for those of you who've collected my work, I can't thank you enough. Truly. It's an absolute joy to know my work has gone to such lovely homes and that it continues to be appreciated. It makes all the hard work worthwhile!

While I want to continue to create my floral pieces, they're very much a "rainy day" kind of activity for me - sitting inside on the computer when the world outside is grey is a wonderful way to spend my days, and keep that creativity going. So don't despair! I'm not going anywhere :-).

Since my shoulder injury has healed, it's been also a lot of fun for me to get back into painting, particularly those wonky, quirky still life pieces I've been sharing lately. I like creating them, they challenge me, and I think that's really important for all artists, to explore and discover and push through when things are a bit difficult (and trust me, original art can be a REAL challenge!).

SO - in that vein - I've just created a page where I'll just be sharing my original pieces. My botanicals are staying right here.

My new page (which currently has zero followers 🤣) is :

If you would like to see what I'm up to over there, I'd love you to join me. Meantime, have a fab rest of the day and thank you always for keeping me company on my arty journey. ###

Super happy with how, "Three Plums" has turned out! Honestly, this one really challenged me. It took forever, has about ten layers of paint of varying colours, and that quirky vase has been all sorts of shapes. Since I don't have a studio, this 16x20" piece was created on the floor of my garage with me kneeling on a very big cushion. Worth it all in the end. ❤❤❤

Good morning, lovely people!

Completely in love with this piece. "Summer Wine" is now available as a limited edition print of just three, in two different sizes. She is created on Breathing Colour fine art paper using archival pigment inks. Each print has a small white border and I have sized this gorgeous work to fit into a readymade frame, or you could get it professionally framed.

Pricing is in NZD and freight within NZ is free. For overseas freight prices, please message me.

11 x 14" : $350

16 x 20": $625

If you can imagine this luscious, rich piece in your home, please message me and we'll make it happen.

Thanks for stopping by and thank you as always for your amazing support of my creativity. 🌺❤🥰

Hello lovely people! Once again I apologise for not posting anywhere near as regularly as I should have. I mentioned a while back I've been pretty unwell but after some more tests, it's possible good health might be on the horizon - doctors have discovered a bug that's been causing all kinds of mayhem in my poor wee tummy.

Anyway! As you can see - I've had the paintbrushes out. Really happy with this bright and wonky still life! 16x20" and framed in light oak. I think it's very pretty. Hope you enjoy it too 🥰🥰🥰. SOLD.

Wow! Still a bit of work to do to figure out this new digital tool, but this is all my design - one of my digital collages (Moondance, it was called) given a makeover using some more advanced options in the app. I'm really liking the direction of this - I can still soften/ recolour/ grunge/ lighten, whatever. Fun AND pretty!

Something kinda funky for my abstract fans! This was an original piece that I added some digital elements to, and I LOVE it! I might mess around with the colour and tone a bit later but the sun is shining and the washing won't hang itself out. Hope you all have a wonderful day :-) X

Hi everyone 😍. A long overdue post!

Since October last year, I've been really unwell. I've developed something called visceral hypersensitivity, also Epigastric Pain Syndrome, which basically means there's a disconnect between my gut and my brain, so every time I eat, the nerves in my stomach interpret normal digestive processes as painful.

I'm heading in to month 5 of it and it's been flipping awful. The only upside has been weight loss 😁.

My blood tests are all normal, a CT scan of major abdominal organs fine, a gastroscopy didn't show anything serious. So that's good - there's nothing serious going on apart from daily stomach pain. 🙄

Very similar to IBS, there's a psychological component to my condition (as there is with all illness) and it's exacerbated by stress. There are lots of things I can do to help myself, which I am - smaller, easily digestible meals, gut-directed hypnotherapy (really helpful), medication (some help, but not a cure), quitting trigger foods, and definitely no alcohol.

It's been a slow but very big learning curve. Since I got sick I've had 5 trips to hospital and countless doctor visits. I've also spent a ridiculous amount on herbal supplements, most of which are useless. But hey, when you're in pain you'll try most things, right?

Anyway! I am improving although my fabulous gastroenterologist says this is something that will come and go throughout my life. Today's shaping up to be a good day. ❤️

So I wanted to pop by and say I haven't forgotten you all! And I'll be creating again before you know it! Big hugs and stay safe. Love from me 🥰🥰🥰
