Been very quiet on here for last the last few months but I'm back!!!

The smallest things can be sometimes be all the inspiration you need. Spied some of my favourite Orange Porse Fungi so went and got my camera and tried out my new Macro lens 📷

Most of the times photos can never do a place justice but it captures the moment in time to bring back the memory. This happens in this photo for me. The morning of Day on the Abel Tasman Costal Walk after we have packed up our tents, put our bags back on and begin by leaving behind the beautiful Awaroa Inlet.

Can't get enough of a good sunrise but not a morning person. Skiing is a great motivator to get up and see the sunrise at the base of the ski field especially Cardrona Ski Field 🎿🏔

Waitangi Weekend means time to get and explore more of our backyard. This time we were off to complete the Abel Tasman Great Walk. Had a real mixed bag of weather no that this photo shows it at all. The beautiful hues of blues and greens contrasting with the golden beaches never gets old.

Got up at 5.30am in search of a sunrise but it was not meant to be. At least we had the beach to ourselves and got some nice moody shots.

Spent the Anniversary long weekend at Waitomo. Can't go to Waitomo and not go in a cave and see some glow worms. They are so hard to shoot but managed to get this shot I'm quite proud of.

Fun Fact: Glowworms are not actually worms, but the larvae of fungus gnats. Also beyond being pretty to look at, the bioluminescent glow is also used to attract prey. Smaller insects and flies are drawn to the light and fly towards it.
