E mihi ana ki ngā Tōtara haemata i tae mai ki tēnei wānanga whakaahua, arā ko For The People!
Reflecting on this wānanga, the laughter, the pātai, the open-mindedness, the learning, the creativity, and the way each tangata showed up so fully and authentically, our For the People Wānanga became more than a photography workshop. It was a space of mana, connection, and empowerment. He tohu tēnei why it happened to be wāhine anake for my first one!!
Watching you all step into your confidence, uplift one another, be vulnerable with your why, and lean into your auahatanga was incredible. Every kōrero and spark of inspiration added to the mauri of the day.
To all the wāhine who attended, ka rere aku mihi aroha ki a kōtou. Thank you for trusting me, for allowing me to share some of my wheako and mātauranga, and for bringing your own strength, softness, and tuakiritanga into this kaupapa.
Ngā mihi nui ki ngā kaiwhakaatu, my models Your mana wahinetanga helped tautoko everyone’s learning and elevated the entire kaupapa. E kore e mimiti ngā mihi ki a kōrua.

Ngā mihi hoki ki ōku whānau from for providing the delicious Persian kai for our lunch. Everyone loved it!!
