Captured is officially one year old! 🖤🎈🍾
Twelve months of turning up to events, businesses, homes, dance floors, beaches and everything in between. Twelve months of learning, growing, backing myself and figuring it out as I go.
I still feel anxious sending out invoices. I still try to edit an entire gallery in one night because I’m convinced you’ll be mad at me if I don’t. I still overextend myself sometimes.
But through all of that, I’ve met some incredibly generous, creative and kind people. The kind of people who make this feel less scary and more possible.
To my clients, thank you for trusting me with moments that matter.
To the venues and organisers who keep bringing me back, I don’t take that lightly.
To the repeat bookers, you’ve made this feel sustainable and real.
To the businesses that have collaborated or referred me, thank you.
And to everyone who has liked, shared or followed along, you’ve helped more than you probably realise.
A special thank you to the team at the Southland Musicians Club/RIFF - Live Music Venue, Michelle, Chris, Trevor, Roger, Jersey, and all the others for the trust, the access and the constant support. You’ve given me so many opportunities to do what I love, and I don’t take that for granted. And thank you to Element Photography NZ for giving me the push to start. That support has meant more than I can put into words 🖤
Here are a few of my favourite images from the last year.
One year in. Grateful. Still nervous. Still showing up.
Let’s see what year two looks like. 🤍
P.S. Sorry if your performance/event isn't in my lineup! I have over 15k photos backed up, and as much as I love you all, I really had to rein it back in! (And try keep it PG)
