at attracted FARRUKH ALI SHAH when he wanted to go official with his photography concerns, many moons ago. He had never been without a camera since he could remember. From the first time he placed his eye into the view finder frame he was taken. Camera had him at hello, so to say. ALI SHAH was into taking snapshots at random when everyone around him started to tell him he had a gift. His eye for the right moment, the right composition, the right light, the right framing was advanced for experience. As he upgraded his equipment and took up photography as a "serious hobby", he went about his actual job that of teaching Business Administration classes at local universities in Islamabad. Life was good where he made friends, traveled and almost always, almost unknowingly took pictures everywhere he went. Someone suggested coming up with a website. Thinking he had to archive his ballooning collection he set about sorting, editing and eventually created....STRIKE A POSE. As he started to get more offers and began establishing himself as a professional teacher and amateur photographer, life posed another challenge.....he immigrated to USA. FARRUKH ALI SHAH captured his three years in America through his lens and built beautiful albums detailing the life and sights of cities like New York, Washington D.C. and Chicago some of which are recognized as modern classics. ALI SHAH is into Arts.......just about any form, shape, color or agenda. He is into Music and which as per him may be the one thing he cannot survive without, other than his camera. He also states he is specially taken by words! For someone who is so taken by visuals is actually a big fan of the spoken words. He loves poetry. SHAH says that everything has a certain rhythm....everything is eventually poetic....and everywhere you find music. He believes having an open eye, and an open ear is all that you need to experience life fully.....because it will teach you to know....know your subject ....be it Business Administration or a model that he has asked to STRIKE A POSE. SHAH returned from USA with a plan: He will get into photography as a full time profession. He started working on his studio in Islamabad which he has equipped with the latest photography equipment, lights, reflectors, backdrops, props, screens and a beautifully lit gallery of his work. He plans to open his studios for a full on photography experience.
