There's no better way to see the day in than getting up for a sunrise.

It's hard to imagine that there last time I was here before the pandemic, I hiked out here to find the look out overlooking Lake Matheson packed with around 30 people.

This time we were lucky to have the place to ourselves and the odd geese who decided to ruin the reflections. I still haven't got the shot I imagined but that's the perfect excuse to come back over winter.

Sunday morning coffee vibes...

Who here still shoots on film? In a world where digital media is instantly available, I love the anticipation of getting a roll developed and the memories it invokes when you finally see the photos

After heavy rain got in the way of an overnight hike up the Copland Valley, plans were changed and I was lucky enough to make it to the beach in Haast to catch this stunner of a sunset! What started at. As the waves crash in, the sun sets ablaze, painting the sky in a fiery hue, I'm reminded of how much I miss the beach. If only it could come without the sandflies

Starting the day with a breathtaking view like this makes everything better! The sunrise over Lake Tekapo on a crisp winter morning with the crystal clear waters and snow-topped mountains created a picture-perfect scene that left me in awe. Thanks to focus stacking technique, I was able to capture every detail of this serene moment.

Time to show off some of my home town with this shot of the iconic Clifton Suspension Bridge in Bristol. Taken on my last trip home 4 years ago.

After only taking up photography when I moved to New Zealand, the opportunity to take some photos from the place I grew up in have been few and far between. Anyone who's been to the UK will know how unreliable the weather is which this being the third occasion I came here to capture the shot I had in mind.

I've driven this road twice a day for the past 5 years on my daily commute between Queenstown and Cromwell and I've always seen this elevated rock just off the main road. Last autumn I decided to make a pitstop while the Autumn colours were in full flow. Situated at the entrance to Gibbston valley overlooking the Kawarau river and AJ Hackett bungy centre I think I managed to capture the glow of the leaves and the sunset

Another one from my trip last week. Whilst I found the the cloudless skies fairly inspirational, I realised it was the perfect opportunity to shoot some astrophotography.

This photo is a composite of images, being made up 3 rows of 10 photos, taken at the lookout overlooking Opononi harbour in Hokianga.
