Had the best time with Claire & Andrew for their engagement shoot at the beach. Misty Mount Maunganui in the background, moody skies above, and these two just totally wrapped up in each other.

They were up for everything I suggested - hugging, dancing, dipping on the sand - and honestly made it all look effortless. Such a fun afternoon filled with laughter and a few sweet quiet moments too.

I recently had the privilege of capturing Hanri & Gerhard’s wedding at the stunning Ataahua Garden Venue. Having known Hanri for a few years and photographed her family many times, it was extra special to witness this day.

Both Hanri and Gerhard have walked through deep loss. To see how God brought them together and how love found them again was incredibly moving. Surrounded by family and friends, they said their vows before God on the most perfect spring day, full of joy, laughter and hope.

The rustic orange tones, heartfelt moments, and the celebration that followed made it a day to remember. What an honour to document this new chapter in their story.

Georgia was the first to step in front of the lens in the new space last week, and what an absolute pleasure it was. Having worked with her before, I knew we’d have a relaxed, fun session... and she left me this lovely review (thank you, Georgia!).

Not my usual genre, but when good friends ask and the light is this lovely, how could I resist?

We wandered the boardwalk, snacked in the sand dunes, and soaked up the golden winter light down by the water. A gentle breeze, bare feet, and those perfectly imperfect family moments that make your heart full.

While I don’t generally offer family photography as part of my services, this little session reminded me of what I love most - connection, storytelling, and capturing people just as they are.

This is me now… but let’s rewind a little.

It’s been 20 years of capturing love, life, and everything in between - and what a ride it’s been.

From remote beaches and islands, documenting weddings at 8 months pregnant, to working behind the scenes at beautiful venues - these throwbacks remind me just how far this journey has taken me.

Feeling grateful for all the people, places, and stories I’ve had the honour of capturing and excited for everything still to come.

I've had the pleasure of photographing Mel's real estate listings over the past year and recently had the opportunity to capture some personal branding portraits for her. Mel is the fantastic agent who listed our own property — and although we chose to take it off the market, her professionalism, warmth, and dedication stood out from start to finish.

Now based in the beautiful beachside town of Ōhope, Mel has joined the talented team at The Northern Group . It was a privilege to create these fresh images to reflect this new chapter in her career. I wish her every success and highly recommend her as both an agent and an all-round wonderful human.

Tami & John aren’t just partners in life – they also run a business together. I had the pleasure of photographing them here at my own property, surrounded by native bush and our beautiful pond. The light was soft, the setting peaceful – a perfect backdrop for capturing images that are both personal and professional.

Branding shoots don’t have to be stiff or overly staged. When your business is built on connection and trust, the best photos often come from relaxed moments in meaningful spaces. I love that my garden can offer that – a quiet, natural studio that helps tell your story just as it is.
