A final note of appreciation... βš“πŸš’

I just wanted to say a massive thank you to everyone for the incredibly kind and thoughtful comments on my update yesterday. Reading through your messages has really meant the world to me.

As I drop anchor on dbphotoNZ and head away from the screen for a slower pace of life, I’m leaving with a lot of great memories.

Thank you all for being such a wonderful crew to share this 15-month journey with.

Take care of yourselves out there, and all the very best. πŸ‘‹πŸŒŠπŸŒ…

Good morning, everyone. πŸŒβ˜•

I’m writing today to share a bit of an update regarding dbphotoNZ. After a lot of reflection, I’ve decided it’s time for me to step back from social media and focus on enjoying life away from the screen.

Maintaining this page takes a lot of time and energy, and after 15 months I’ve reached a point where I need to prioritize my own well-being and reclaim my personal time.

I didn't realize quite how hard it would be to write this, because the support and community on this page have been absolutely fantastic. Thank you all so much for following along with my photographic journey. I’ve loved sharing my view of our local waters and streets with you all. βš“πŸ“Έ

While the page will go quiet, I’ll still be out there enjoying the fresh air and the views, just at a much slower pace. Next time you're down by the wharf or out watching a sunrise, know that I’ll still be enjoying it right along with you.

Thank you all so much for everything. Wishing you all the best in your own travels and experiences. πŸŒ…βœ¨

Good morning, all! πŸŒβ°β˜•βš“

The last time I got to photograph the dredger Albatros was back in February 2025, so I am pretty hyped about her return to Timaru waters today! πŸš’πŸ“Έ

The current position of ALBATROS is at South Pacific Ocean reported 12 hours ago by AIS. The vessel is en route to the port of Timaru, New Zealand, sailing at a speed of 7.8 knots and expected to arrive there on Jun 18, 13:00. The vessel ALBATROS (IMO 9671618, MMSI 244790087) is a Hopper Dredger built in 2013 (13 years old) and currently sailing under the flag of Netherlands.

Good morning! Just hanging in there... we are officially halfway through the working week. πŸ’β˜•

A throwback to a visit to Orana Wildlife Park about 10 years ago, capturing exactly how a Wednesday feels! Now... where did I put that extra strong coffee? πŸ€”

Have a great day, everyone!
