This little guy is basically me after finishing off my 2026 wedding season over the weekend 🥳

I mean, teeeeechnically this session was meant to be all about the arrival of baby Lou…. But the sausies kind stole the show 🫠
So happy to have these guys back in front of my camera after their wedding last year with the addition of a tiny person (who I understand has been officially and warmly accepted by the fur babies as the 3rd child) 💛

When the whole gang is back together, it’s a rare occasion and always worth making the effort for a photoshoot!

A very special session with little Apollon while his mum and dad were back in Hawke’s Bay. And proof that photos with your newborn don’t have to happen indoors!

Fun fact… when I was just starting out with photography, Lydia and I did a shoot together with a couple of her friends, just for fun. We ended up in a field at sunset and after seeing the photos come together, it was the first time I thought that maybe I could actually give this photography thing a crack. 15 years later, here we are……
Since then, I’ve loved watching her life unfold, through modelling and media to now motherhood, a crown she wears with such grace and tenderness.

And now getting to photograph her little boy…..a full circle moment in the best way 🥺

When your backyard (aka your wedding venue) looks like a Windows desktop.
Maddy & Marcus got married at home, with their photos taken across the farm paddocks that surround them. Pretty special calling a place like this yours.
But as stunning as the scenery was, it was these two who made this day..... they’re just genuinely lovely humans, welcoming me in like one of their own and putting their trust in me, which makes all the difference! Thank you M&M.
A day full of superlatives, and one I won’t be forgetting in a hurry 🤍🩶🖤🩶🤍

Sometimes there’s this idea that the older kids get, the less they want to run around, get loose and have handstand competitions with their Uncle. I’m out here forever campaigning against this (and glad the Pattullo family feels the same) 😄

Back on home turf….and golden hour delivered.

Te Mata Peak perfectly delivered for Christine and Ross while they were back from England for a short visit. Christine and I knew each other from waaaay and it’s always great catching up and seeing how life is now as proper grownups 🤓
Good light, good company, and a really, REALLY good view 🥰

News flash: a little rain never ruined a good photo session….
The Brust family flew all the way from the USA for their NZ holiday and squeezed in a family session together. Parents, grandparents and three tiny humans, and not a single flinch at the weather pivot. Fortunately, we had a good Plan B option, so we moved the session inside and ducked out for the occasional break in the weather. We ended with great photos and a reminder that attitude is everything when things don’t go according to plan!
