This morning was a real highlight for me.
We were invited to doggie games on the beach in Whangamata at 7am. It took me a while to get the hang of it.
Doggie treats, then run to the next person, doggie treat then run back! And repeat, pant, pant. And again, pant, pant.
I met a puppy that could have easily been my son, if I wasn't er, you know. Four months old. Mum thought he was so cute, a Cavachon.
Needless to say, I'm sleeping while my PA (Super human that she is) writes this update.

Yesterday we went exploring the campground and found the glow worms dell at Kauri Top 10 Holiday Park. We went back at night to see twinkling stars.
They even have a flying fox and I know some kids who love them.
Today she went tree hugging in the rain. I stayed dry (mostly - something about kiwis and dogs not mixing).

I've found the perfect place to kip. Don't tell Mum, cos I'm not allowed on the good cushions.

On the other hand, this sculpture leads us on along a brick road.
Oh, she said the sculpture represents early industry in Henderson. Its a nice walk. Lots of interesting smells.

Sunset Beach, Sandhills and the mighty Waikato River makes its way to the sea.
Mum and I explored Cobourne Reserve, crested ny two sisters in memory of their father. It sits just before the Port Waikato sand dunes near the mouth to the Tasman Sea.
Mum found violets and other flowers blooming.
I found much more interesting smells.
That expanse of water behind me is the Waikato River. Its big. It's long. Even if I liked swimming, I wouldn't go in.

These are seriously weird. Art. Not alive.
We were doing our usual street walk, up one side and down the other, of the main street.
We never know what we will find except a kid asking to pat me.
Do they think I'm a cat?
I'm patient. I suffer in silence. But I give Mum a look and she knows how I feel.
