After praying for a person who may be demon possessed, a *man of God* has a few important next steps — both spiritual and practical.

Here’s what is commonly taught in Scripture and practiced in ministry:

# # # *1. Stay in prayer and cover them*
- *Keep praying* for protection, peace, and freedom. Demons often try to return if the "house is empty" (Luke 11:24-26).
- Pray for the *Holy Spirit to fill* that person. An empty place gets refilled — so ask God to fill them with His presence, joy, and truth.

# # # *2. Encourage discipleship and God’s Word*
- Help the person *get into Scripture daily*. Jesus said "you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free" John 8:32
- Teach them to *speak God’s Word, worship, and pray* for themselves. Freedom is maintained by relationship with God, not just one prayer session.

# # # *3. Guide them toward holiness and community*
- Encourage *repentance* of any sin doors that were open — bitterness, occult, addiction, etc.
- Connect them to *church community*: godly friends, pastors, accountability. Isolation makes people vulnerable.
- Suggest baptism, communion, and serving as ways to stay rooted.

# # # *4. Follow-up and discernment*
- *Check on them* over the next days/weeks. Ask how they’re sleeping, thinking, and feeling.
- Watch for peace vs. agitation. True freedom brings peace Phil 4:7.
- If there are still severe manifestations, it may require continued prayer with other mature believers and fasting Matthew 17:21.

# # # *5. Take care of yourself too*
- As the one praying, *spend time in God’s presence* afterward. Pray for your own protection and cleansing.
- Don’t carry it alone. Share with other leaders/pastors for support and wisdom.

*Key principle*: Deliverance is the start, not the finish. The goal is not just "the demon leaves" but "Jesus comes in and stays."

Stop comparing your journey to others,it only steals your joy.
Everyone has a different starting point, pace, and purpose. Focus on becoming better than you were yesterday, not better than someone else today. Your consistency will take you where comparison never can.

Prayer is not a feeling.

Prayer is an instrument, it ushers you into God’s desires for your life.

Don’t underestimate it.

Don’t wait till you "feel like it".

Pray when you feel like it.

Pray when you don’t feel like it.

Prayer should not be attached to emotions.
Prayer should be willing. Intentional. Consistent.

Because prayer is essential to becoming all that God has planned and designed for your life.
