My suggestion for the PNG NRL team name is **PNG HUNTERS**. This is because our current feeder club, the **SP Hunters**, has already built a strong and respected brand in rugby league, both locally and internationally. Carrying that name into the NRL would:
- **Preserve Brand Identity** – Fans, players, and sponsors already recognise and support the “Hunters” name.
- **Create a Clear Pathway** – It shows a direct connection between our feeder club and the top-tier team, inspiring local players to aim for the NRL.
- **Highlight Our Playing Style** – The “Hunters” name reflects our aggressive, determined, and fearless style of play, which is a core part of PNG rugby league culture.
- **Strengthen National Pride** – “Hunters” has already become synonymous with PNG’s fighting spirit, so keeping it will unite fans nationwide.
By naming our NRL team **PNG Hunters**, we carry forward a legacy that is already deeply rooted in our rugby history and community spirit.
