A walk to remember connecting the unreachable to the outside world. On a fine misty morning we set off from Biaru Primary School (Kembaka Village) climbing misty mountain as fog 🌫️ slowly evaporating as morning dews slip gently down from cylinderica imperatas leaves and onto our shirts. Shivering 🥶 and grinding teeths under our thick jacket 🧥. We had to accomplish our mission. We climbed steep ridges, rugged mountains, gorges and slopes to reach villages to ensure those villages had reliable network coverage. It's one of the first tower 🗼 after 50 years in that part of Morobe Province.

General Landscape of Morobe Province
Morobe Province, located along the northeastern coast of Papua New Guinea, has a highly diverse landscape ranging from coastal lowlands and mangrove areas to rugged mountains, deep valleys and extensive tropical rainforests.
The province is dominated by the mountain ranges of the interior and the Huon Peninsula, with steep forest-covered slopes, ridges and valleys. Numerous rivers and streams descend from the highlands toward the coast, creating fertile floodplains and river valleys.
Along the coast, the landscape includes beaches, bays, estuaries, mangroves, coral reefs and offshore islands. Around Lae, extensive lowland areas support urban development, agriculture, industrial activities and transportation infrastructure.
Further inland, much of the landscape remains heavily forested and relatively rugged, with tropical vegetation, natural forests and traditional garden areas. Elevation varies considerably, producing different vegetation types from lowland rainforest to montane forest in higher areas.
Overall, Morobe Province can be described as a green, mountainous and heavily forested region with a mixture of coastal ecosystems, rivers, agricultural land and extensive natural forest. This geographical diversity makes the province particularly important for forestry, agriculture, biodiversity conservation and watershed protection.
