Miss PNG🇵🇬 Iampela Popena recently traveled up to Mt Giluwe🏔 for an exciting adventure. As one of Papua New Guinea's most beautiful and inspiring young women, she embraced the challenge of climbing the country's second-highest mountain. The journey allowed her to experience the breathtaking scenery, cool mountain climate, and unique natural beauty of the Highlands. Her adventure to Mt Giluwe🏔🇵🇬 also highlighted the importance of promoting tourism and encouraging more people to explore the amazing landscapes that Papua New Guinea has to offer.🇵🇬🇵🇬🇵🇬🇵🇬🇵🇬

A large piece of ice 🧊 from the ice fall on Mt Giluwe, one of Papua New Guinea's highest mountains. The melting and loss of ice is a sign of changing climate conditions in the highlands. If dry conditions continue, people in Tambul and some parts of Southern Highlands may face severe drought, causing rivers and water sources to dry up. This can damage or destroy food gardens, crops, and other plants that communities depend on for their daily food and livelihoods🥲🤒

Bring Rugby🏉 💯League to Tambul/Neblyer District (WHP)

Good day leaders, community members, and stakeholders, and we stand here today representing the people of Tambul/Neblyer District.
Across our province, districts like Dei Council, Hagen Central, and Mul Baiyer are actively participating in rugby league competitions. Their communities are benefiting—young people are engaged, talent is growing, and social life is improving.
So we ask one simple question:
Why not Tambul/Neblyer?
Our district is full of strong, talented, and passionate young people. But without organized sports like rugby league, many of them are left without direction. This leads to challenges—drug use, alcohol abuse, and negative social behaviors that are affecting our communities.
Rugby league is more than just a game.
It builds discipline.
It creates unity.
It gives young people purpose.
It keeps them away from harmful activities.
By organizing a rugby league competition in Tambul/Neblyer, we are not just creating a sport—we are creating hope.
We are asking for your support:
To help establish a structured rugby league competition
To provide resources, fields, and basic equipment
To guide and support our youth through sport
Let us invest in our young people. Let us give them a reason to stay active, focused, and proud of where they come from.

Tambul/Neblyer is ready.🏉💯
Our youths are ready.🏉💯
Our community is ready.🏉💯
All we need now is the opportunity🏉💯.
Thank you.🙏🏉💯
