State of Origin Game 2, 2026

Another thrilling State of Origin Game wrapped up last night, with fans from both sides enjoying their teams' performances in each half. The NSW Blues took the lead in the first half, scoring two tries thanks to mistakes from the QLD Maroons. The Maroons fought back with a strong run down the left side, setting up a great try by Loiero, which added 6 points to their earlier penalty goal. This brought the score to 12-8 in favor of the Blues before halftime.

In the second half, the QLD Maroons struck first, taking the lead at 14-12. From that point on, the Maroons gained momentum and dominated the game, finishing with 44 points. The NSW Blues managed to score two more tries, but it only narrowed the gap to 20 points by the final whistle.

Honestly, I believe the NSW Blues had the stronger team on paper but struggled to perform on the field. Coach Laurie Daley hasn't had much success with the Blues lately. While I respect him as a player, I question his coaching abilities. It seems he has lost the players' trust and failed to motivate them. Nathan Cleary, who was the Man of the Match in Game 1, had a disappointing performance last night, setting a record for the most missed tackles by a Blues player. If he could lead his team to victory against 12 men in Game 1, why couldn't he step up again last night? Why does he disappear in crucial moments? These are tough questions for Blues fans to consider.

On the other hand, the Maroons played with more heart. Despite their poor record at the MCG Stadium, they proved the critics wrong and showed that statistics can be overcome. They also rallied for their teammate Tino, who had lost his father just days before the game. Whenever they face adversity, they use it as motivation to win. We saw this when Cameron Munster lost his dad, and the team went on to win the 2025 series. Will the Maroons repeat that success and achieve back-to-back victories?

How impressive were Sam Walker and Max Plath? They played like seasoned veterans, remaining cool and composed throughout the match.

As we look ahead to the decider at Suncorp, will the Maroons leverage their home-ground advantage, or will the Blues pull off an upset on enemy turf? This is sure to be an exciting match to watch!

🔥🏉 NRL ROUND 4 – FULL OF UPSETS! 🏉🔥

What a crazy weekend of footy! Round 4 gave us big surprises, exciting games, and results no one expected. If your tips went wrong… you’re not alone! 😅👇

🐯 TIGERS SHOCK THE WARRIORS
The first upset came when the West Tigers beat the NZ Warriors, who were sitting on top of the ladder after three rounds.
Not many saw this coming, but the Tigers stepped up big time. Adam Douehi led the team well at halfback, controlling the game and making smart plays. A great win for the Tigers!

⚔️ KNIGHTS BEAT THE BULLDOGS
The Newcastle Knights surprised everyone by beating a strong Canterbury Bulldogs team.
The Bulldogs had a lot of big names, but the Knights played with heart and energy. This loss might make the Bulldogs rethink their halves combination of Burton and Galvin.

⛈️ COWBOYS HOLD OFF THE STORM
The Melbourne Storm were expected to win after losing last week, but the Cowboys had other ideas.
North Queensland stayed strong and worked hard for the full game to beat last year’s minor premiers. A very solid win for the Cowboys!

🐉 TITANS FINISH ROUND WITH A WIN
Many people thought the Titans would lose, but they proved everyone wrong by beating the Dragons.
They played with confidence and finished the round on a high note. Big effort from the Titans!

🔥 ROUND 4 SHOWED ANYTHING CAN HAPPEN!
This round reminded us that no game is easy and any team can win on their day.
