"You're my bread when I'm hungry
You're my shelter from troubled winds
You're my anchor in life's ocean,
But most of all, you're my best friend"

Some of my friends asked me how was it or what does it feel like joining trade fairs. This video answers it all.

And of course, again, I would like to thank all of the people who supported us and helped us in different ways make our trade fair experience successful. Iyaman!

If I will be asked who to call if the police breaks the law? I’d answer them and say
“I’d still call the police”.

Not that I do not sympathize with the victims of brutality,
I do —
Not that I don’t hear their screams for justice,
I do —
Not that I don’t share their tears and pain,
I do —

but I have relatives and friends, too, who signed up for duty and they would often say,

“Haan nga amin nga pulis, madi ti aramid na — Ad-adu ti limpyo.”
[Not all policemen break the law, most of them uphold it.]

And I’d believe them. Without doubts, I would believe. I’d believe and hope that they follow their oath wholeheartedly. ‘To serve and protect’.

I will believe and hope that there are more of them who are proud to wear their badge because they do their job well, they serve and protect. I would hope that there are more of them who do the right things, will do the right things, will tell other officers to do the right things even when people steps down on them, loses their trust on them. I hope that they will pull the trigger not to harm but to save. I hope that they are tolerant enough that they would look the other way when everything seems to lead them to evil. Hope is a beautiful thing and so I hope that they will keep the right.

Meat Smoking is like painting.
The fire and smoke are your brushes, the meat is the canvas, and the painting is how the meat turns out at the end of the day.

For your inquiries on the Smoker, you can hit up Mr. Pil-odski Acop.
Smoked products are also sold at Farmer's Daughter Restaurant.

Yawgafaki Poetry
The Sky — Always Beautiful

Have you ever stared at the sky,
wondered how it remains beautiful always?
Of no matter how random the clouds are in it,
like abstract paint strokes splattered on a canvas
or how empty it is in a calming shade of blue.
It still is a sight to see.

Though it may cry at times thru the rain,
that makes every sip of coffee worthy of a blow.
Or no matter how the day went,
or how the day is going,
the sky — always worthy of appreciation.

Of how it gets completely tainted with hues
of vibrant red or pastel orange
as the sun goes down,
or how it permits the stars to shine
and twinkle in all their glory
as darkness cripple into the night,

The sky — always beautiful,
or maybe its always beautiful when we are looking up.
The sky — always beautiful,
I wish you to be the same.

A fern — he, too, is.

For his fingers point
to different horizons,
he wanders
which one to follow.
And as his confusion grows,
he moves not.

And in his stillness,
dewdrops gather
like crystals
into his fronds
as he is left by
the morning mist,

In his stillness,
he witnessed beauty and peace.

“Kanya-kanyang Mundo”

Ganun nga talaga siguro.
Lahat tayo may kanya-kanyang kuwento,
May kanya-kanyang titig sa malayo,
Kanya-kanyang bitak, kanya-kanyang buo,
Kanya-kanyang katawan, kanya-kanyang isip at puso,

May kanya-kanyang mundo.

M͟i͟n͟s͟a͟n͟ k͟a͟ n͟a͟ b͟a͟n͟g n͟a͟l͟i͟ga͟w͟?͟

Makatakas, kahit kaunting oras, minuto, segundo
Mag-aliw, kahit saglit lang, dahil minsan nakakapuno,
nakakapagod ang tunay na mundo.

While we are at it admiring the leadership of the Local Government of Sagada for keeping its gates closed, let us might as well share the probable reason/s why the media chose this picturesque place as a background for the President's State of the Nation Address thru these photos.

Like they always say, "Sagada, sagad sa ganda".

This is a photo of a Pinetree proudly standing and was taken on May of 2013. A fine sight while you are feasting on your hot banana cue while your friends or classmates pass you by.

Today, you cannot see it anymore for the place where it once stood is now a place where one would often wonder whether he left his car on B3 or B4. Yet here we are again, lamenting on the same murder story. No blood was spilt but many were killed. And justice that will not most likely be served.

Are we really the City of Pines?
