Summer Solstice is the longest day of the year — the day with the most daylight — and it marks the official beginning of summer in the Northern Hemisphere.

☀️ It’s the moment when the North Pole is tilted closest to the Sun.
☀️ The Sun reaches its highest point in the sky at noon.
☀️ It occurs around June 20–21 each year in the Northern Hemisphere.

The Earth’s axial tilt (23.5°) and its orbit around the Sun cause the changing seasons. At the summer solstice, the Sun is directly over the Tropic of Cancer.
