My last assignment (main barrier area) for the 5pm to 1am schedule.
Of all the barriers located in our plaza, the was my most favorite. From high ranking politicians to our hardworking porters (kargadors), I served them well with equal respect and treatment. I encountered so many people from all walks of life in this area. As time goes by, I draw my inspiration from our porters (kargadors). You can see their facial expressions on how they face the struggles of life. The very heavy load that they carry just to survive the day. Even if the weather was unforgiving, they managed to surpassed the hardships. And I have no complaints opening the barriers for them. Happy to serve them.
The barriers taught me on how to be humble and patient. This area had opened my eyes to appreciate simple things in life. The people I encountered taught me to be resilient and hopeful.
As I end my duty here, I will bring with me all the values I learned from them. Simplicity, humility, kindness, optimism, and hardwork.
