The event brought together aspiring writers and broadcasters from EDDIS II and V, competing in both English and Filipino Individual Categories, held last October 17, 2025, at Virginia Ramirez-Cruz National High School, Pandi, Bulacan.

Not all sunsets are sad.
Some are quiet reminders that even the most beautiful things aren’t meant to stay. You were my sunsetvivid, powerful, unforgettable. You lit up my world in ways I never imagined, and even as you faded, you left the sky glowing.
Tonight, I watched the sun fall behind the horizon, and for a moment, I felt you again. The way the light split the sky in gold and shadow… it looked like us caught somewhere between beauty and goodbye. Before I let you go completely, I want to leave something behind. Not just memories, but reminders lessons I tried to plant in you while I could.
Be strong, my lovee.
Not all the time will there be someone like me who understands you without words, who stands by you when you're at your lowest. You have to learn to stand on your own, even when your knees shake. Strength isn’t about always being okay it’s about showing up anyway.

Accept your flaws.
Love yourself, every version of you flawed, messy, healing, growing. You don’t need to be perfect to be worthy of love. Don’t shrink yourself to fit what others expect. You were never meant to be small.

Be confident.
Walk like you carry the sun inside you because you do. I’ve seen it. I’ve felt it. And the world deserves to feel that too.

Be brave.
There will be days when the darkness feels heavier than usual. On those days, remember the fire inside you. You are more than your fears.

And don’t rush.
Don’t rush love, or life, or healing. Don’t rush to fill the silence. Some things are worth the wait. Some journeys are slow on purpose. You’ll bloom in your own time don’t force it. And if nothing else stays, please remember this:
Every time you look at the sky, I hope you hear my voice echo in your heart.
Remember the things I told you, the love I gave you, the strength I tried to build within you.
Let the sky be your mirror of who you are, and who you're still becoming.
Because as for me?
Every time I see a sunset, I see you.
You’re the color in the fading light, the warmth just before the dark, the ache of something beautiful that couldn't stay. And just like the skies you look up to every day…
I was there.
Even when you didn’t notice. Even when clouds got in the way. I was always there, loving you in silence, hoping you’d grow into everything I knew you could be.

Thank you, love, for the laughter, the warmth, the colors.
Thank you for being my once-in-a-lifetime light.

Goodbye, my great love.
And if you ever find yourself beneath a sky streaked with gold and violet,
