Cagban jetty port is usually known as the gateway to Boracay (not Bora) but only a few people knows that there's a lovely beach nearby. I'm glad I went here to spend my day off instead of the crowded front beach.

This was the last destination of our short trip to Tangalan. Our boss/host/driver Sir Benhur Dagohoy was keen on bringing us to this quiet, beautiful place.

We had to cross shallow rivers in order to reach the waterfalls which also meant coming across locals going on their daily lives such as bathing and washing laundry by the riverside.

The cool waters felt good on my skin and the traverse to the spot made me miss home.

We were up early to catch the sunrise in the rolling hills nearby, but our boss/host/driver woke up late after drinking ...

We were up early to catch the sunrise in the rolling hills nearby, but our boss/host/driver woke up late after drinking the night earlier 😂. We (me and Nics Tomulto ) ended up watching the locals hunting seashells trapped & scattered on the rocks.

The receding tides turned the beach of Dumatad into an entirely different place. It was nothing short of awesome. Scroll onto the next pics to see how far the tides are from the shore.
