A BRIDGE SPECTACLE AND ARCHITECTURAL MARVEL WILL SOON RISE IN MINDANAO.
Unahan na natin, sa mga pilosopong magtatanong kung makakain ba tong much-awaited bridge project, yes po, hindi po nakakain kasi nangangain lang ng t*nga.
Kidding aside.
Last week, we witnessed the San Juanico Bridge Aesthetic Lighting Project come to life as the aesthetic project is expected to revitalize tourism activity in Region 8. San Juanico Bridge, a bridge project connects the major island of Samar and Leyte, two central economic centers in the region.
Now let’s head over to Mindanao where another dream project is finally coming to fruition.
After experiencing setbacks and delays, the ₱23-billion Samal Island-Davao City (SIDC) Bridge Connector Project will finally start construction today. The two-way, four-lane bridge will connect Davao City and the Garden Island City of Samar. The bridge project is expected to set off economic and tourism growth in the region.
SIDC Bridge Connector, crossing Pakiputan Strait, will cut travel time from 30 minutes (via Ferry) to 5 minutes once the bridge becomes fully operational. The target year of completion is 2027.
President Bongbong Marcos, together with VP Inday Sara, will lead the much-anticipated ground-breaking rites of the SIDC Bridge Project today, October 27.
Chinese Ambassador to the Philippines Huang Xilian is also expected to witness the groundbreaking ceremony.
It’s “all systems go” before the momentous groundbreaking as a land survey and geotechnical investigation using a boring machine have already started in early October.
ACTIVITIES ON THE SIDELINE
PBBM is scheduled to spearhead the distribution of government assistance to various sectors and individuals in crisis/beneficiaries.
The President will also visit the soldiers of the Eastern Mindanao Command to discuss pressing matters involving military services.
It’s going to be a busy and jam-packed trip to Mindanao. We encourage our followers to pray for our President. Pray for his well-being and that our Creator will continually supply him with strength and wisdom as he performs his duties as President. Amen.
