It’s hard to believe how far we’ve come—from awkward introductions back in Grade 7, unsure smiles, and random seatmates, to the loud, chaotic, and unforgettable version of us we’ve become in Grade 8. For two whole years, we’ve grown up side by side—witnessing each other’s highs and lows, surviving each quarter one chaotic day at a time, and learning more than just lessons in books. We’ve built something real—a bond that not even the hardest subjects or the most stressful deadlines could break.

We’ve had those moments where we looked at each other in class, silently screaming “What is happening?” because we didn’t understand a single thing the teacher just said. But somehow, being confused together made it better. We had each other’s backs when the lessons made no sense, when the group works became one-man shows, and especially when the teacher would announce a surprise quiz right after lunch.

And of course, the legendary cramming. The “review session” that turned into gossiping or just sitting there in silence with our notes open but our brains already clocked out. The desperate messages in the group chat, the “e send gud ang assignment,” the last-minute “unsay answer sa number 5?”—we’ve all been there, and we got through it together.

Let’s not forget the breakdowns—the random crying in class, in the bathroom, in the hallway, or while pretending to “tie our shoelaces” just to hide our tears. There were moments when everything felt overwhelming, when we thought we couldn’t handle one more quiz or one more project. But there was always someone who noticed, someone who offered a hug, a joke, or even just a quiet “same,” and it made everything feel a little lighter.

We also had our share of small fights—petty arguments, sulking moments, silent treatments, and those awkward days where no one wanted to speak first. But you know what? Those little conflicts didn’t break us. In fact, they made us stronger. Because at the end of the day, we still laughed together. We still chose each other. We still came back, because this section has always felt like home—even with the mess, the misunderstandings, and all.

And beyond all that, there were the best moments too. The laughter that echoed through the halls, the jokes that only made sense to us, the bonding moments that weren’t planned but meant everything. The “ta kaon,” the “group work kuno,” the rants, the chaos, the shared silence before a test—we lived through it all as one crazy, messy, beautiful team.

Since we’re in SPA section, some people judge us differently. Some said we were too loud, too expressive, too “all over the place.” Some even called us the worst section—just because we didn’t fit into the typical quiet, serious mold. But they didn’t see what we had. They didn’t see the late nights practicing, the passion we poured into our art, the way we carried each other through burnout and breakdowns. We may have been messy, but we were real. We were loud—but that loudness came from joy, from life, from the bond we shared. We weren’t just classmates—we were artists, dreamers, and friends who never let go of each other. And honestly? That’s something to be proud of.

We’ve seen each other at our worst—tired, unmotivated, running on three hours of sleep and a bag of chips—and yet we still chose to show up, not just for ourselves, but for each other. And that says everything.

We’ve known each other from Grade 7 until Grade 8, and I honestly wouldn’t have it any other way. These years weren’t perfect, but they were ours. And I hope in Grade 9, there will be no different. I hope the bond we built stays just as strong, just as loud, just as genuine. I hope we keep choosing each other, even when things get harder. I hope we carry this kind of love and friendship no matter what section we’re in, or where life takes us next.

Thank you—for the laughter, the tears, the chaos, the care, the small fights, and the unforgettable memories. I’m so proud of everything we’ve been through together.
