I learned that Veronica rarely visits the Philippines; I knew I couldn't let this opportunity slip by. The chance to weave her unparalleled talent, wisdom, and artistry into my own photographic narrative was simply a dream.

It is a true honor to capture my Grade 6 adviser, Ma’am Estrellita, alongside her husband, Sir Tony, a couple whose enduring togetherness I have always deeply admired.

While my original intention was to feature Ma’am Quiño on her own as my former teacher, it felt only right to include Sir Quiño. Whenever I see her, he is almost always by her side, and their bond deserves to be celebrated together.

I chose to photograph them in the intimate setting of their living room, a space filled with warmth and countless stories waiting to be told.

These portraits were taken during Sir Tony’s 90th birthday celebration, and I am truly proud to have preserved a moment as timeless as their love."
