SIERRA MADRE is the natural defense system who protect us. GOD gave us this mountain to break the strongest storms before they even touch our homes. pero ano ginawa ng mga dapat nagpro-protect? sila pa yung unang sumira.

Illegal logging. Mining. Deforestation. Development projects na walang pake sa buhay ng tao. lahat yan ginagawa ng mga may kapangyarihan kuno para lang kumita. tapos kapag bumaha, kapag may namatay, kapag may nalunod, bigla silang may pa-“condolences” at “sorry” ehh kayo rin naman ang dahilan nan.

nakakagalit. sierra madre has been standing there for centuries taking every hit for us, and we can’t even give her the bare minimum, RESPECT AND PROTECTION. aantayin pa ba natin malubog yung mga bahay, mawala yung mga pamilya, bago tayo magising? bakit kailangan may mamatay para lang marinig ang sigaw ng kalikasan?

ang sakit isipin. the very people she protects are the ones who ruined her. and somehow, they’ll still act like victims.

Sierra Madre is our silent guardian but she’s not invincible. if we don’t fight for her now, someday she won’t be able to fight for us.

nakakapagod na maging “makakalikasan” lang kapag may bagyo. I hope this time, hindi lang awareness, sana action na talaga.

In a matter of moments, a lifetime of dreams turned to ash. A brutal reminder, life is terrifyingly fragile. Everything you build, everything you hope for, everything you love, it all hangs by a thread. So while you can, live, love, and don’t wait for happiness to start tomorrow.
