Late post, but a story worth sharing ♟️✨

Day 1 of CVIRAA 2026 will always be special to me. As a Grade 7 student from St. Scholastica Academy Tabunok, this was my first time competing in the secondary division—and it wasn’t easy.

I faced opponents who were older and more experienced, and I honestly felt nervous at first. But instead of letting fear take over, I reminded myself of all the hard work, practice, and sacrifices I made just to reach this moment.

Every move I made on the chessboard was a reflection of my determination. I may be younger, but I chose to stand my ground, think smart, and give my very best in every game. It wasn’t just about winning—it was about courage, growth, and proving to myself that I belong here.

No matter the result, I’m proud because I fought a good fight. This is only the beginning of my journey. ♟️💪

Grateful for the opportunity to participate in the chess competition here in Toledo City. It was an amazing experience playing with talented players, learning new strategies, and enjoying the spirit of the game.

Win or lose, every match is a step toward becoming a better player. Thank you to everyone who supported and cheered for us! Looking forward to more tournaments ahead.

Family Day at St. Scholastica Academy Tabunok 💛 Even though it’s called Family Day, I spent most of it with my friends and my subject teachers — and honestly, I wouldn’t have it any other way. From random laughs to simple conversations, they made the day feel warm, fun, and full of memories. Grateful for a school where friends feel like siblings and teachers feel like second parents.
