To protect the integrity of the teaching-learning process and minimize distractions, the use of cellphones and other portable electronic devices is strictly prohibited during instructional hours.

Parents Attend Orientation to Strengthen School Partnership

Parents gathered last Thursday, June 11, 2026 for a scheduled orientation aimed at strengthening collaboration between families and educators ahead of the new academic year. The event, held at the school’s activity center, brought together teachers, administrators, and dozens of parents eager to learn about school policies, programs, and expectations.

The orientation opened with a welcome message from the PTA President who emphasized the vital role parents play in supporting their children’s education. “When parents and teachers work together, students are more likely to succeed both academically and socially,” he said.

During the program, teachers discussed the Three-term calendar, strengthened SHS including school & classroom rules, grading systems, and learning strategies that will be used throughout the school year. Parents were also briefed on upcoming activities, including school events, extracurricular programs, and health and safety measures.

One of the highlights of the orientation was a session on communication, where parents were encouraged to maintain regular contact with teachers to monitor their child’s progress. The school introduced updated communication channels, including online platforms and scheduled consultation hours, to ensure easier access to information.

The successful conduct of the orientation highlighted the school’s dedication to building strong partnerships with families—an essential step toward fostering student success in the coming year.

First day high: nerves, excitement, and new beginnings all in one, before the tragic 7.8-magnitude struck!

The start of the academic year brought a wave of excitement as students stepped onto campus for their first day of high school. Hallways buzzed with energy as new faces met, friendships began to form, and returning students shared stories of their summer break.

Despite a few nerves, many students expressed enthusiasm about the opportunities high school offers—from joining clubs and sports teams to exploring academic interests. For freshmen in particular, the day marked the beginning of a new chapter filled with challenges and accomplishments.

As the first day came to a close, smiles and laughter reflected a shared sense of anticipation for the journey ahead.
