⚠️ Keep Drones Away from Power Lines

Capturing great aerial shots is exciting, but safety should always be your top priority.

Keeping a safe distance between your drone and electrical infrastructure is vital for your gear and our community's power supply.

Follow these essential Electricity Safety Tips:
• Maintain Distance: Always keep a minimum of 150 feet between your drone and power lines.

• Know the Risks: A drone hitting a power line can cause serious damage to your equipment, break lines, and lead to widespread power outages.

• Safety First: If a crash occurs near a utility pole, substation, or power line, never attempt to recover the drone yourself.

If your drone gets stuck or causes an issue with the lines, please stay back and call the ILPI Hotlines for professional assistance.
