It’s okay if all you did today was survive. If you woke up with a heavy heart and still managed to face the day, that already counts for something. You don’t have to always be strong, productive, or smiling. Sometimes, getting out of bed is courage. Sometimes, sitting in silence is strength. Sometimes, the bravest thing you can do is simply make it through the day without giving up.

It’s okay if you spent hours just staring at the ceiling, replaying thoughts you can’t quite put into words. It’s okay if you needed space, if you said no, if you disconnected for a while. You don’t owe anyone an explanation for the way you choose to cope.

So if today you chose yourself, if you rested, cried, or took a break when your heart asked for it, please know that’s something to be proud of. The world may not see it, but choosing to stay, choosing to breathe, choosing to keep going even when it hurts, that’s bravery in its purest form.
