Due to the continuing effects of Typhoon Basyang and the unpredictable weather conditions, classes in all levels (public and private schools) in the Municipality of Lapuyan are suspended on February 6, 2026 (FRIDAY) as a preventive measure to ensure the safety of students, teachers, and school personnel.

We are Accepting Only 5 groups around Lapuyan. First come , first serve basis.

Mechanics ❗❗❗

1. Must be minimum 6 up to maximum 10 members per group participants

2. Each group are given 10 up to 15 minutes to perform

3. All participants should be LAPUYANONS

4. Music used must be Christian or Gospel songs. Remixed music is allowed as long as it's under the allotted time limit.

LOOK ❗❗❗ : 70th Araw ng Carpoc Thanksgiving Celebration featuring Battle Of the Band 2026

February 22, 2026 ( FULL SLOTS)

Brgy Carpoc Lapuyan, Zamboanga del Sur

Please Read and Follow the Mechanics Carefully

MECHANICS:

1. Battle of the Band Competition is open to all Lapuyanons amateur bands.

2. There is no age limit, anybody can participate in the competition regardless of their age.

3. Each band must have a minimum of 4 and a maximum of 8 members. A Band member shall play once; violation thereof shall be subject for disqualification.

4. Basic band instruments like lead guitar, bass guitar and drums must be played by each band. Additional instruments may be used like brass instruments and others.

5. The organizers will provide for the sound system, lights, drum set , keyboard and backline. Each band must provide their OWN instruments not stated hereof.

6. Any attire may be worn by participants as long as they abide by common and acceptable social decency. Furthermore, all bands should perform ONLY Christian songs or Gospel songs. Failure to abide by this rule is automatically disqualified from the competition.

7. Each band must perform two (2) songs; Contemporary, R&B, Rock (English, Cebuano or Tagalog) and the bands choice. Every song of each band should not be repeated.

8. Each band is given 3 minutes to set up their instruments on stage and a maximum of 10 minutes of play time. Excess thereof shall be one (1) point deduction per 5 second.

9. REGISTRATION IS UNTIL FEBRUARY 15, 2025 AT 5:00 PM ONLY.

10. There will be 5 competing groups who will compete. This is based on a "First come, First serve" basis upon registration.

11. Sequence of performances is determined by draw lot.

12. All band participants must attend the Divine Service before the start of the activity. Those who fail to appear during the draw lot is automatically eliminated from the competition.

13. The decision of the judges is final and executory.
