The U.S. Southern Command (SOUTHCOM) military forces, under the Joint Task Force-Southern Spear (JTF-SS), conducted a series of strikes earlier today, December 22, against an alleged cartel narco-trafficking semi-submersible in the Eastern Pacific. According to SOUTHCOM, intelligence suggested that the vessel was traveling along a known narco-trafficking route and was involved in cartel operations.
