🇵🇭 THE JETPROP OF THE PHILIPPINES | It was in 2017 when Philippine Airlines, and its subsidiary PAL Express, made history as the very first airline to take delivery of the first dual-class 86-seater Bombardier Dash-8 Q400. Back then, her reconfigured cabin provided a boost in capacity as the older Q400s that the airline operated only had 76 economy seats on board. RP-C5901 was the first to arrive in Manila from Toronto sporting the new cabin as a new era of turboprop operations for the country's flag carrier came into effect.

Mula Batanes, hanggang Jolo, well not really Jolo but Tawi-Tawi, these jetprop aircraft can be seen serving the flying public. The Q400, known for its speed and performance, has continued to be a game changer for Philippine Airlines, opening markets and rural airports to fast air link without the need for massive infrastructure adjustment that jet aircraft requires.

New airline alert ‼️

We just had another milestone here at Manila as we welcome Qingdao Airlines which flew in from Changsha operating as flight QW965 utilizing the Airbus A320NEO.

Her inaugural flight was welcomed with the traditional water salute. She arrived at 0213H local time.

Qingdao Airlines joins the list of many mainland Chinese carriers flying out of Manila further enhancing the connection between the Philippines and China.
