Disorganized thoughts scatter in places
you aren't meant to find immediately
most of them lies behind the eyes
that captures your sight,
every minute that passes by,
those eyes linger in your mind
siphoning the very life
you once nourished.

Nostalgia has long been my escape,
an experience yet to be lived,
replaying right through our eyes once more
from chocolate cakes and wearing party hats, my introverted self
really cherished those precious moments;
even the sunlight that caressed my skin that day
still lingers in my memory, that amber
and comforting glow made me realize
that even a fragment of a memory
can be enough to say, I lived a life with ample colors.
