Story time muna...
I still remember when Rachell first reached out to me back in 2019, inquiring about my wedding packages. From that first conversation, there was already a sense of excitement—hers, and mine. Not long after, she entrusted me with documenting their wedding story, and we even met at Trinoma to talk about plans, ideas, and everything in between.
Everything felt smooth. Everything felt right.
We were even planning to take their prenuptial shoot to Singapore. I was genuinely thrilled imagining the frames, the light, the story we would create together. We carefully mapped out locations, wardrobes, and mood boards. Every detail had intention.
But life, as it often does, had other plans.
Her brother started going in and out of the hospital. And in that moment, all the plans we made suddenly felt small compared to what truly mattered. I told her not to worry, that life and family will always come first. And she held on to that reassurance.
We shifted. We adapted.
From Singapore, we moved the prenup plans locally an outdoor, nature-inspired shoot here in the Philippines. We started again, rebuilding the vision. But just when things were starting to fall into place, another challenge came, she got scammed by their first coordinator.
Once again, everything changed.
We went back to planning. I referred trusted co-suppliers, people I believe in. A new team was formed, meetings were set, and slowly, things started moving forward again. Until October 24, 2019 came.
Another unexpected storm, they were scammed again, this time by an investment company. And just like that, everything had to be put on hold… indefinitely.
That time, all I could offer were words, understanding, and prayers. No timelines. No pressure. Just presence.
Years passed.
Then near the end of 2022, Rachell reached out again. She asked if I could still be her wedding photographer. But this time… it was a different story. A new chapter. A new man.
I felt a mix of emotions, surprised, a little anxious, but more than anything… relieved and happy for her. After everything she went through, she found her way back. She rose again.
Finally, a date was set April 24, 2024.
But even then, the journey wasn’t done testing her. So, they got married in Singapore, and the Philippine wedding had to be moved to July. Then another hurdle came, her PR status prevented her from coming home. Another reset. Another wait.
Then January 2026 came with heartbreaking news, her father passed away.
And yet, in the midst of grief, a small light her PR was finally approved.
At last, a final date was set: April 10, 2026.
However, I was already booked. But I told her I would gather a team for her, because after everything, I couldn’t just not be part of her story. She happily agreed.
Then something unexpected happened.
A few days before the wedding, I checked with the studio that booked me… and found out I was cancelled.
Funny how life works sometimes.
Because in the end, I was meant to be there.
I showed up, not just as a photographer, but as a friend who witnessed her journey from the very beginning. And I was able to capture moments, give her a surprise onsite photos, and be part of a story that took years, tears, detours, and unwavering faith to finally unfold.
Rachell’s story isn’t just about a wedding.
It’s about resilience.
It’s about grace through uncertainty.
It’s about love finding its way, no matter how many times life tries to rewrite the plan.
Wedding highlights will be posted soon.
