I just want to share my unforgettable adventure of embarking on my first-ever climb of Mt. Hibok-Hibok on Camiguin Island with my climbing buddy, my wife Mary Grace, for my 9th Akyat Episode. Standing at 1,332 meters above sea level, this major climb is one of the most challenging in Mindanao.

Our journey began with an invigorating trek through lush rainforests, teeming with diverse flora and fauna. As we ascended, the terrain transitioned to rugged volcanic landscapes, a stark reminder of the mountain's fiery origins and its four eruptions in modern history. Along the way, we passed the serene Mt. Hibok-Hibok crater lake, a perfect spot for rest and rejuvenation.

Reaching the summit was the highlight, offering breathtaking panoramic views of Camiguin Island and the expansive azure sea beyond. The sight of the island's lush, rolling hills contrasting with the deep blue waters was a spectacular reward for our efforts, making this climb an immersive experience in raw beauty and untamed wilderness.

After a year of dormancy, I finally found the time to complete my video on one of my adventure episodes: climbing Mt. Tukduang Banoi in Tanay, Rizal. This majestic mountain stands at 1,200 meters above sea level and boasts remarkable features such as expansive grasslands and a mossy forest. It is the second tallest mountain in Rizal province, surpassed only by the towering Mt. Irid.

During this climb, I was incredibly fortunate to join the members of the Hakbang Bakas Mountaineering group in their Good Samaritan event, where we distributed school supplies to the students of Brgy Santa Ines. Witnessing the joyful faces of those children erased all the fatigue from the ascent, making the experience even more rewarding and memorable.

After a six-year moratorium and renovation, Mt. Pico De Loro, a dormant volcano and Cavite's tallest peak, was finally reopened to the public in January. It all began when we scaled Maragondon, Cavite's Mount Marami, last month. We had a clear view of the majestic Mt. Pico de Loro from the summit, and I vowed immediately that I would also climb it. So, I applied online and got in! We were extremely fortunate to be given the opportunity to climb this mountain due to the tremendous demand from hikers/climbers all across the country.
