“Claiming Christ, Missing His Heart”
They speak of faith with lifted hands,
Sing loud within the crowded lands,
Quote every verse, each sacred line—
Yet leave no trace of love divine.
They wear the name, they claim the light,
But walk in shadows, not in right.
Their words are sharp, their hearts grow cold,
A story of grace they never told.
For being “Christian” is more than a name,
Not just a title we proclaim.
It’s mercy lived, it’s truth in deed,
It’s seeing others in their need.
What good is faith that does not show
In gentle words and patience slow?
What worth is prayer, what use is song,
If love is absent all along?
For Christ was known by how He gave,
By how He loved, by how He saved.
Not by the crowds, nor loud display,
But quiet grace along the way.
So search the heart, not just the role—
For Christ-like love must shape the soul.
