To my Jurich,
My earliest memory of you was September 8, 2015. We rode a Ferris wheel as two strangers with mutual friends. That night, we never asked each other’s names, yet somehow, the stars knew we would share a beautiful story.
Today, I stand before you not as a stranger, but as the woman who knows your heart and is known by it.
I thought I was a misfit until you showed me that this “misfit” was simply your missing piece.
You loved me when I tasted of angst and insecurity. You healed wounds you never created. You cherished the parts of me I didn’t understand.
And for that, I promise to walk beside you in every season, to choose you at every turning, and to love you with a love rooted in the Lord. A love that is patient, faithful, and enduring.
This morning, I remembered a line from one of the first poets I ever read, Rupi Kore:
“No, it won’t be love at first sight when we meet; it’ll be love at first remembrance,’cause I’ve seen you in my mother’s eyeswhen she tells me to marry the type of manI’d want to raise my son to be like.”
And standing here with you, I know, that night at the Ferris Wheel, it was never just chance. It was always you. I love you so much, byy. - Bride Bridgette
