TINGNAN: Ang taunang paglabas ng ipinagpipitagan at mapaghimalang imahen ng Virgen de la Inmaculada Concepcion na pinipintuho sa Bayan ng Concepcion, Tarlac sa taunang Pistang Bayan tuwing Abril 25.

Ang pagdiriwang ng Pistang Bayan o Fiestang B***n ng Bayan ng Concepcion, Tarlac ay nakaugat sa dekretong inilabas ng noo’y Arzobispo ng Maynila, Lubhang Kaggalanggalang Gregorio Meliton Martinez noong Abril 25, 1868, na nagsasaad na ang Simbahan ng Concepcion ay manatili sa kasalukuyan nitong kinatatayuan matapos ipetisyon ng mga mamamayan ng Concepcion na ilipat ang simbahan sa Barrio Santiago.

Ang dekreto ay iginalang ng mga mamamayan at tuluyang ipinagdiwang ang kanilang Pistang Bayan sa petsa ng pagpapatupad ng dekreto.

Kalaunan, ang Concepcion ay naging bahagi ng noo’y Diocesis ng San Fernando, Pampanga noong ang lalawigan ng Pampanga at mga karatig bayan ay inihiwalay mula sa Arquidiocesis ng Maynila upang bumuo ng panibagong sede sa pamamagitan ng Papal Bull na Probe Noscitur.

The annual Tarlac Town Fiesta in honor of Saint Sebastian, an early Christian martyr saint whose extraordinary faith inspired fellow early Christians and modern day members of the Church in following the footsteps of Jesus Christ.

The Tarlac Cathedralβ€”Seat of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Tarlac celebrated the Solemnity of Saint Sebastian on the 20th of January. This year is the 299th year of the establishment of Tarlac as a separate parish from the town of Magalang, Pampanga, a year closer to the 300th anniversary on 2027.

The annual celebration of the Solemnity of the Immaculate Conception, whose title is venerated as the patroness and namesake of the municipality of Concepcion, Tarlac.

While the town fiesta of Concepcion is celebrated in April, the Solemnity of the Immaculate Conception is at par one of the most attended celebrations by the townspeople and pilgrims alike, most especially the procession of the Virgin after the last mass in the afternoon.

With the head of the procession already concluding at the Church, the Virgin aboard her carriage still traverses the long streets of the town together with her sea of devotees. The beloved children of β€œIma” patiently awaits the Virgin to descend her carroza and be reenthroned once again to her high altar to conclude her solemnity.

The ivory processional image is an heirloom treasure of the Ferrer - Desiderio clan, while the altar image is under the care of the parish church.

A HISTORIC FIRST: The Original Image of the Patroness of Concepcion graced the 4th Tarlac Grand Marian Procession and passed by the San Sebastian Cathedral. It has been said that the churches of Tarlac and Concepcion were once considered twin churches due to same architectural style before the war.

The Second Sunday of October is the Feast of Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary, La Naval de Angeles. This feast highlights not only the powerful intercession of the Virgin Mary through the Holy Rosary, but moreover the victory of the Christian fleet over the Naval battles against the Ottoman Empire.

The Holy Rosary Parish annually celebrates the feast of its patroness, the Blessed Virgin Mary under this title on the second Sunday of October. Angeles, though named in honor of the Holy Guardian Angels, was placed under the patronage of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary.

On the celebration of the 70th Patronal Feast of Our Lady of Ransom in Matatalaib, Tarlac City, the Diocese of Tarlac through its local ordinary, the Most Reverend Roberto C. Mallari, decreed that the image of Nuestra SeΓ±ora de la Merced de la Ciudad de Tarlac β€œshall be known henceforth and forever as the VIRGIN OF THE DIOCESE OF TARLAC”.

This honor bestowed to the venerable image of the Mother of God in the Diocese reaffirmed her unique role in the propagation of the faith of the TarlaqueΓ±os. In connection to this, her feast during the 24th of September shall be celebrated as a Solemnity for the whole Diocese of Tarlac in accordance with liturgical norms governing the Church.

May the Virgin of Ransom be like a chain to the TarlaqueΓ±o faithful that binds us in spirit and love as we continue our journey of redemption willed by her Son, Jesus Christ our Lord.
