گزشتہ 17 سالوں سے کریم آباد کی دلکش پہاڑیوں، خصوصاً سوسوم ویلی میں بکریوں کے چرنے پر پابندی عائد ہے۔ یہ قدم اس مقصد کے تحت اٹھایا گیا تھا کہ وادی کو سیلاب سے بچایا جا سکے۔ الحمدللہ، اس فیصلے کے نہایت مثبت نتائج سامنے آئے ہیں — وادی سرسبز و شاداب ہو چکی ہے اور سیلاب کی شدت میں واضح کمی آئی ہے۔

یہ ایک شاندار مثال ہے کہ اگر عوام مل کر کوئی فیصلہ کریں اور ماحول کے تحفظ کو مقدم رکھیں، تو فطرت بھی اپنا حسن لوٹا دیتی ہے۔ ہمیں امید ہے کہ یہ اقدام پورے چترال میں بھی نافذ کیا جائے گا، جہاں پہاڑوں پر بکریوں کے چرنے سے ماحول کو شدید خطرات لاحق ہیں۔

ہم ان تمام افراد کو خراجِ تحسین پیش کرتے ہیں جنہوں نے اس عظیم مقصد کے لیے انتھک محنت کی۔ بالخصوص ہم مرحوم سلطان شاہ کی خدمات کو نہیں بھلا سکتے
