I don’t usually write much, but this time I’m writing for everyone.
After COVID, I truly feel this is the time when we need to support each other more than ever. Ramadan has just passed, and many of us gave sadqa, zakat, and donations in different ways. But now, it’s time to think beyond that—as a nation, as Muslims, and simply as human beings.
Fuel prices have reached an all-time high. This isn’t about criticizing anyone—it’s about helping our brothers, sisters, colleagues, neighbors, and those around us.
So what can we do?
Not everyone has the option to work from home or alternate days. Many people have to commute daily. My request is very simple: if you own a car, bike, or any vehicle and travel from point A to point B every day, create a post and ask if anyone else shares the same route. Start ride-sharing.
If you can offer a free ride, that’s amazing. But even sharing the cost is a great help. Divide the daily fuel expense among those traveling together.
Just imagine—if 1,000 cars currently carry only one person each, they could accommodate 3,000 more people. That means less traffic, lower fuel consumption, and reduced expenses for everyone.
This doesn’t make you a taxi driver—it makes you a hero for someone who truly needs it.
There may be many other ideas or better ways to support each other during these tough times. This is just a small suggestion from my side. I might be wrong, or this idea might have flaws—but together, we can make things better.
Feel free to share your thoughts, suggestions, or improvements.
Thank you for reading. I truly hope this small effort helps someone.
