🎒 My Ultimate Cinematic Studio & Travel Gear Breakdown!

You have been asking for the gear drop, so here is the ultimate camera and lens lineup I trust for every travel shoot and studio setup! 🎥✈️

When it comes to capturing that perfect cinematic look with enough dynamic range to push hard in DaVinci Resolve later, having reliable glass and reliable audio is everything. Here is exactly what is in my bag to make it happen:

📸 The Cameras:
Sony FX3: The absolute cinematic workhorse for main video.
Sony A7IV: The perfect hybrid for B-cam and stunning stills.

🔭 The Glass (Sony G Master):
16-35mm GM: For those epic, sweeping travel landscapes and tight spaces.
24-70mm GM II: The most versatile lens in the bag.
35mm GM & 50mm GM: Unmatched sharpness and depth of field for beautiful subject isolation.

🎙️ & ⚙️ The Essentials:
Audio: DJI Mic 2 (Flawless, crisp sound on the go)
Light Control: VND Filters (Essential for keeping that shutter speed perfectly dialed)
Support: Ulanzi Zero F38 Travel Tripod & a Monopod for quick, stable run-and-gun movements.

Zero Edits. 100% Sony SOOC. 🔥

Tired of the editing grind? Get that sought-after film aesthetic straight out of your Sony. 🎨 ➡️ 📸

We all know and love the famous Fujifilm look for those effortless, ready-to-post film vibes. But did you know your Sony can rival it without ever touching an editing app?

I recently tweaked my Sony A7IV and FX3, hit the streets for some candid photography, and the results are unreal. What you’re seeing in this fast-paced sequence is 100% Straight Out Of Camera (SOOC). No LUTs, no post-processing—just pure color science dialed in to perfection. 🤯

Why spend hours color grading when you can get this cinematic vibe straight from the sensor?

👇 WANT THIS LOOK? 👇 I’m dropping a full breakdown of my exact camera settings and how to customize this Creative Look in my next Reel so you can bypass the editing process completely.

Why I threw away my Tripod. 🤫

Stop wasting time twisting tripod legs on set. 🚫

I’ve been testing the new SmallRig 5564 Carbon Fiber Monopod with my Sony FX3 setup, and the one-touch lever system is a total game-changer for run-and-gun filmmaking. It goes from 27 inches to a massive 65.16 inches in literally two seconds.

But it’s not perfect. SmallRig sells this on the idea that you can detach the base to make a 5.5-inch table tripod. The reality? Without a quick-release system, unscrewing it manually takes way too much time on a real shoot. For me, it feels a bit like a selling gimmick.

Plus, like most monopods, you have to deal with a bit of camera sway for about a minute after adjusting the height.

Overall? The speed completely wins me over and it’s taken over my main tripod.

💬 Filmmakers: Would you rely on a monopod for your primary setup, or are you staying team tripod? Let me know below!

POV: You’ve been home for 48 hours and your brain has officially logged off. 🧠💤

Is it just me, or does staying in for a few days turn your productivity into a slow-shutter blur? I tried to get back into the studio today, but my brain decided it was still on vacation. Send coffee (and motivation). ☕️✨

How long does it take for your “brain to stop braining” when you’re stuck at home? Let me know in the comments, I need to know I’m not alone! 👇

This tiny square just changed the POV camera game forever! 🤯 Meet the new Insta360 GO Ultra. 👇

Gone are the days of running out of storage on tiny action cameras. The Insta360 GO Ultra finally brings the feature we’ve all been waiting for: a Micro SD card slot (up to 2TB!). 💾

If you shoot cinematic POV, BTS, or tech lifestyle videos, this 53-gram beast needs to be in your kit. Here is why:

✨ Massive Sensor Upgrade: 1/1.28” sensor shooting buttery smooth 4K at 60fps. Combine that with PureVideo, and low-light noise is crushed.

🧲 Mount ANYWHERE: The magnetic chest pendant now lets you angle the camera down (no more staring at the sky!), plus hat mounts and flexible straps for impossible angles.

🌊 Fully Waterproof: IPX8 up to 33 feet.

📲 Real-Time Wireless: Stick the camera in a tight space and monitor your shot wirelessly on the Action Pod.

🔋 Battery for Days: 70 mins standalone, 200 mins with the pod, and 0-80% fast charging in just 12 minutes.

👶 Toddler Titan Mode: Epic, hassle-free POV memories with the kids, kept perfectly level with 360° Horizon Lock.

From mounting inside a coffee mug to getting crazy car POVs, the creative possibilities are endless.

Why I’m replacing my $600 tripod with a carbon fiber monopod. 🎥👇

If you shoot in a tight studio packed with lights and C-stands, you already know the struggle. Adjusting three separate tripod legs every time you need a new angle completely kills your creative momentum.

Enter the SmallRig Carbon Fiber Monopod. I recently added this to my filmmaking setup, and the speed is unmatched. It’s not just the fluid hydraulic column—it’s the single-hand lever lock. One flick, adjust your height, lock it, and you’re rolling.

The best part? The base has a dedicated lock for the bottom ball head. Lock it down for tripod-like stability, or release it for dynamic, handheld-style tilts and pans without losing control.

Is it replacing my main tripod forever? I’ll be testing it exclusively in the studio over the next few weeks for a full review.

Save this post for your next camera gear upgrade! 📌

I tried going caseless on my iPhone 17 Pro Max. This fixed everything.

For years I suffered with bulky cases that completely hid the phone’s design. The Arc Pulse changes that it’s not really a case, it’s more like jewelry for your iPhone. Two-part aerospace aluminum design, rubber inner lining that protects every corner and the camera module, and it literally feels like part of the phone.

Minimal case. Minimal packaging. Maximum feel.

Are you team bulky case or team naked phone? Drop it below 👇

Satisfying tech ASMR incoming. 🤫 Dropping the full unboxing of the Insta360 GO Ultra Creator Combo. Packing a huge 1/1.28” sensor and 4K60fps power into a thumb-sized body, this is officially the ultimate setup for cinematic, hands-free POV shots.

The unboxing clicks are pure therapy, but wait until you see the FlowState stabilization on this tiny creator kit.
